American toy company FUNKO, which has captured the wallets of many toy collectors with its highly recognizable big-headed figures, will release new additions to its "POP! Television" series based on "Street Sharks" in June 2025: "Ripster" and "Big Slammu"! The suggested retail price is US$12 per figure.
"Street Sharks" are mutated creatures with giant shark heads, human torsos, and limbs. They possess immense strength, can easily bite through steel with their mouths, and can even move freely beneath the ground. Ripster, Streex, Big Slammu, and Jab – these four brothers were originally ordinary humans, but after being injected with a serum mixed with shark genes, they not only survived but transformed into the crime-fighting Street Sharks!
Street Sharks toys hold a special place in the childhood memories of many toy collectors, and they are items that are sure to excite anyone who spots them at a toy market. Furthermore, with 2024 marking the 30th anniversary of the animated series, several toy brands, including MATTEL, have successively released new Street Sharks toys.
These Pop! Vinyl renditions of "Ripster" and "Big Slammu" stand approximately 9 cm tall. While faithfully recreating their classic designs and costumes, they also reinterpret them with the characteristic Pop! Vinyl head-to-body ratio, giving their heads a more prominent presence. Coupled with their muscular arms, they exude a cute yet cool demeanor.
