Pre-sale tickets for "Jurassic World: Rebirth" recently went on sale in North America, revealing promotional posters for various premium formats like RealD 3D, 4DX, Screen X, and D-Box. However, the IMAX version was conspicuously absent. No IMAX poster was released alongside the others, and the pre-sale options did not include IMAX screenings. This has led many to speculate that "Rebirth" might not receive an IMAX release, as promotional efforts would typically be underway by now if it were planned.

In fact, months ago, fans noticed that the "Rebirth" trailer listed anticipated release formats but notably omitted IMAX. The prevailing theory among other media outlets is that the film's early July release window is tightly sandwiched between three major blockbusters: the Brad Pitt-led "F1" film, James Gunn's "Superman," and Marvel's "The Fantastic Four." All three of these highly anticipated titles have already secured their IMAX slots, effectively boxing out "Jurassic World: Rebirth" from securing its own.
Rumors also suggest that the IMAX Corporation still plans an IMAX release for the film in China. Some speculate that "Rebirth" might follow the path of "Barbie," which added an IMAX run a month or two after its initial release. Nevertheless, it appears almost certain that IMAX screenings will not be available during the film's initial theatrical run.
