The brand-new concept art exhibition "THEiCON," jointly created by HOW2WORK, THE LITTLE HUT, and PARADISE, is set to make its grand debut from June 27th to June 29th this year at Warehouses No. 4 and 5 of the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei! The exhibition name is derived from the abbreviation "i Convention," with its core spirit focusing on the multiple meanings represented by 'i': I (self), imagination, inspire, impassioned, idea, and illustrious.
"THEiCON" aims to create a grand event that brings together creativity and artistic spirit, emphasizing the unique originality of each artist. Independent exhibition areas are planned for every participant, allowing them to fully present their personal style and philosophy, thereby constructing a rich and diverse creative narrative. Audiences will have the opportunity for close interaction and dialogue with the artists, gaining a deeper understanding of the creative thinking behind the works, and it is hoped that this will attract art enthusiasts from across different age groups and cultural backgrounds.
"THEiCON" brings together nearly 50 emerging and renowned artists, utilizing diverse media such as paintings, sculptures, art installations, designer toys, exquisite designs, and limited-edition posters, to shape a complete experience from viewing and dialogue to collecting. This aims to further deepen the sense of participation for visitors and open up more possibilities for ongoing dialogue with art. "THEiCON" is not merely an exhibition of visual art; it is also dedicated to becoming a space for profound interaction between art creators and audiences, inviting the public to collectively contemplate the multifaceted aspects of 'self' and 'connection' in contemporary society.
Unlike traditional art exhibitions, which often feature brands or institutions as the primary curatorial entities, "THEiCON" breaks free from existing frameworks by inviting nearly 50 artists from various fields to personally participate in the planning. It adopts an independent exhibition format, akin to multiple solo exhibitions presented concurrently, showcasing a rich array of creative expressions and viewing perspectives. This exhibition, with its innovative curatorial approach, delivers a contemporary art extravaganza that combines artistic creation, intellectual exchange, and collecting experiences. The first wave of "THEiCON" VVIP three-day passes will open for registration on the official website on June 3rd. Limited to 200 passes, they will be allocated via a lottery system. The pass content will include a "VVIP Color THEiCON Limited Figure Set of Seven," eligibility to participate in the "THEiCON Preview Night" on June 26th, and specific timed entry privileges.
