American business titan Barry Diller recently released his personal memoir, "Who Knew," and has been actively promoting it. During a recent conversation at the 92nd Street Y, the seasoned executive, who has held top positions at numerous film studios, was asked about the "highest" film set he had ever witnessed. Diller promptly pointed to the 1980 live-action film "Popeye," which he oversaw during his tenure as CEO of Paramount Pictures. The movie starred Shelley Duvall and Oscar-winning actor Robin Williams.

Diller was then asked if he knew everyone on set was using drugs as soon as he arrived. He responded, "Know it? You couldn't escape it. They were actually transporting drugs in film cans." He explained that the film, shot in Malta, had its reels sent back to Los Angeles for daily processing. "We later discovered that these film cans were actually being used to shuttle cocaine back and forth to the set. Everyone was completely high."
