Earlier this month, reports surfaced that A24 had acquired the live-action film rights to Bandai Namco Entertainment's critically acclaimed Soulslike game, "Elden Ring." The indie studio reportedly tapped Alex Garland, who recently collaborated with them on "Civil War" and the upcoming "Warfare," to direct the project. Development appears to be moving swiftly, as Bandai Namco only just confirmed the project days ago, and now news has broken about the first cast member joining.

Today, Deadline exclusively reported that British actor Kit Connor, known for his starring role in the Netflix series "Heartstopper," is in talks to join the cast. Connor recently wrapped filming "Warfare" with Garland, making this a quick reunion for the pair. While Connor has not yet officially signed on and is still working to align his schedule, both parties are reportedly eager to collaborate again. Deadline did not specify which role Connor is being considered for.
