From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, the character model kit series '30 MINUTES PREFERENCE' has officially announced its first product from the film "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition", "Ayanami Rei", slated for release in October 2025.
Unlike 30 MINUTES MISSIONS, 30 MINUTES SISTERS, and 30 MINUTES FANTASY, which primarily feature original characters, the new '30 MINUTES PREFERENCE' series will leverage the experience and technology cultivated within the 30 MINUTES LABEL to acquire various external IPs and work licenses, releasing model kits of numerous popular characters, allowing players to build their beloved figures.
The first character in the "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition" theme is the highly popular heroine "Ayanami Rei". Multi-color molded parts are used to faithfully reproduce the colors and high-gloss texture of the plugsuit, featuring precise sculpting and articulated division design, providing flexible articulation without compromising the integrity of the sculpt.
Accessories include two pre-printed face parts for replacement: "expressionless face" and "smiling face", as well as 9 types of interchangeable hand parts to recreate various poses, Shinji Ikari's S-DAT, Gendo Ikari's broken glasses, lower body parts to recreate a kneeling pose, and the Lance of Longinus, which is longer than the main body and can be held by Ayanami Rei.
