From showrunner Noah Hawley, the creative mind behind FX's "Fargo" and "Legion," the first-ever television series based on the "Alien" franchise has finally dropped its first full-length trailer. After a string of very brief teasers, the new two-minute preview offers a substantial look at the story of the upcoming series.
The "Alien" series is set to premiere on August 12 on FX and will be available for streaming on Hulu. The first season consists of eight episodes.

The story is set in the year 2120, two years before the events of the first film. At this time, Earth is ruled by five corporate conglomerates: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. In this era, cyborgs (humans with both biological cells and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) coexist with humanity. But the game changes when the founder and CEO of Prodigy pioneers a major technological leap, creating a new type of hybrid android: a humanoid robot infused with human consciousness.
The first hybrid prototype, named "Wendy," represents a new dawn in the technological race for immortality. After a Weyland-Yutani spaceship crashes into Prodigy's city-base, Wendy and her fellow hybrid androids come face-to-face with the deadly Xenomorphs that were on board.
