Flame Toys Techkaiser "SP//dr" Articulated Figure, Penny Parker's Comic Mech Design Arrives!

Hong Kong-based model manufacturer FLAME TOYS has unveiled its brand-new "Techkaiser" series, which focuses on skillfully incorporating alloy materials throughout to enhance tactile feel and faithfully recreate characters from animation and comics. The inaugural release will be a Marvel Comics-themed "SP//dr" (Spider-Mech Warrior) articulated figure, with a suggested retail price of US$198, slated for release in June 2026!

SP//dr, the Spider-Person from Earth-14512, first appeared in "Edge of Spider-Verse" #5, released in 2014. Co-created by Gerard Way, lead singer of the alternative rock band My Chemical Romance (MCR), and comic artist Jake Wyatt, SP//dr is a Spider-Man variant directly inspired by Japan's "Neon Genesis Evangelion." Toy enthusiasts who have seen both "Spider-Verse" films will undoubtedly be familiar with it!

This Techkaiser SP//dr stands approximately 21 cm tall, meticulously crafted based on Penny's mech design from the comics. It faithfully recreates the EVA-inspired details of the suit inherited from her father, delicately carving out the inverted triangular upper body structure and the distinctive beast-footed silhouette. The mechanical structures at the joints and the engraved lines on the body are all exquisitely reproduced! From the currently released product images, it appears that in addition to basic articulation in the head, shoulders, elbows, and knees, even the fingers feature multiple movable joints. This allows for stable posing in various dynamic and powerful stances, complemented by the die-cast alloy parts used in the main body. Furthermore, the chest and eyes are equipped with LED light-up functions, even more precisely showcasing the mech's design as depicted in the comics!
