Japan's TAKARA TOMY company's toy brand T-ARTS is set to release a cute new gashapon series this June, reinterpreting classic Disney characters: "Disney Characters: I'm Not Crying, Part One" (tentative translation, ディズニーキャラクター なかないモン そのいち)! The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per capsule, with a total of four designs to collect.

T-ARTS, which has released numerous Disney gashapon toys, now transforms four popular characters—"Winnie the Pooh," "Minnie Mouse," "Donald Duck," and "Stitch"—into adorable, seemingly not-yet-grown-up children. They display teary eyes but feign strength; their expressions of holding back tears and being a little defiant are simply too cute. Stitch looks just like a little adorable pet who's been home all day, missing you terribly! The slightly grumpy-looking Donald Duck is the editor's personal favorite; utterly irresistible.
The "Disney Characters: I'm Not Crying, Part One" gashapon figures stand at approximately 3.9–4.5 cm tall. In addition to being reinterpreted with a two-head proportion, their plump, rounded body lines make them look endearing, and the tear drops even feature a pearlescent finish. Given the "そのいち" (Part One) designation, we can look forward to more characters being released in the future. We wonder if there's a chance for Grandpa Carl to have a good cry too (laughs).
