The robot model kit series "HG (High Grade)", released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the upcoming release of the new product "HG Mass Production Type Gespenst Mk-II (Kai Kitamura's Unit)" from the video game series "Super Robot Wars OG", scheduled for September 2025.
First appearing in "Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden", the RPT-007 Mass Production Type Gespenst Mk-II is a mass-production PT developed based on the Gespenst Mk-II. It was utilized by numerous Earth Federation Army pilots, including Kai Kitamura, Katina, and others. Its performance is essentially identical to the prototype machine known as "TYPE R", though its sensor specifications have been enhanced. Furthermore, the weapon on its left arm has been changed from a Plasma Slicer to a Plasma Spike, allowing it to execute the high-speed assault melee attack "Jet Spike".
The "HG Mass Production Type Gespenst Mk-II (Kai Kitamura's Unit)" is a modification of the previously released "Gespenst Mk-II" kit. It utilizes new molding colors for its parts to faithfully reproduce the characteristic green armor and white shoulder thrusters of Kai Kitamura's unit. Additionally, newly molded parts are included for weapons such as the "M950 Machine Gun" and "Plasma Rod".
The kit boasts excellent part separation and articulation design, typical of modern HG standards, enabling the recreation of various dynamic and powerful battle poses. The accessories also include signature Gespenst-series weapons such as the "Multi-Launcher Missile," "Split Missile," "Neutron Beam," "MEGA Plasma Slicer," and "MEGA Beam Rifle." It can be displayed with the included dedicated stand.
