Japanese model toy company Hasegawa has unveiled completed photos of their "Gatchaman Swan G-3 Jun" 1/12 scale resin model, based on the classic anime series Gatchaman. The product has a suggested retail price of 7,590 JPY and is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025!
Gatchaman is a TV anime produced by Tatsunoko Production in 1972, based on an original concept by Tatsuo Yoshida and planned by Jinzo Toriumi and Ippei Kuri. It is surely a cherished memory for many toy enthusiasts born in the 60s and 70s. When that familiar melody of "Fly! Fly! Gatchaman!" plays, one can't help but sing along! "Swan G-3" Jun is a 16-year-old Japanese-American girl and the third member of the Science Ninja Team. She excels at setting bombs, always able to plant timed explosives in enemy territory to destroy their equipment and facilities, making her an indispensable and powerful female asset to the team!
This 1/12 scale resin model of Swan G-3 Jun was sculpted by Araken-sensei, capturing Jun in a dynamic pose with her cape spread and leg kicking upwards. The exaggerated posture creates a powerful visual impact, meticulously recreating details such as her fair long legs, the bracelet on her left hand, and the special yo-yo weapon equipped at her waist. The visor part is crafted from transparent material, and the wrinkles on her short skirt and long boots are also exquisitely reproduced, perfectly bringing her formidable in-show image to life!
