High-quality anime licensed product manufacturer SUNRISEPOP will release two new products based on the popular anime "Dandadan": "Figure Bank - Turbo Granny" and "Figure Bank PLUS - Turbo Granny". Both are scheduled for release in October 2025.
The popular character Turbo Granny, who appears in "Dandadan", is the first yokai encountered by Okarun and Momo. Designed based on the Japanese folklore yokai Turbo Granny, she runs at an extreme speed of 100 kilometers per hour. If she catches you, you will suffer a terrifying curse... she steals your "balls." Behind her outrageous statements like "Suck my little OOO," there is actually a sad story—she resides there to appease the vengeful spirits of several girls who were brought into the tunnel, assaulted, and murdered. After battling Momo, Okarun, and Seiko, she possessed Okarun's body when she was on the verge of death. Seiko sealed her consciousness into a maneki-neko (beckoning cat), while her spiritual power remained within Okarun. Thus, she acts in the form of a maneki-neko, assisting Okarun in finding his missing "balls."
SUNRISEPOP's "Dandadan Figure Bank - Turbo Granny" measures approximately 18 cm tall, faithfully recreating Turbo Granny's appearance after her consciousness was transferred to a maneki-neko. In addition to her somewhat smug face, even her pose is audacious~ with crossed legs and a raised chin, the figure exudes Turbo Granny's tsundere charm. Details such as the "千萬兩" (ten million ryo) gold coin on her chest and her paw pads are also accurately reproduced. A coin slot is designed on the back, making saving money with a maneki-neko feel like it will bring good fortune!
Simultaneously released is the "Dandadan Figure Bank PLUS - Turbo Granny", featuring the same design enlarged by approximately two times, an ultra-huge 36 cm, constantly reminding you to deposit money~ surely you can save a lot of cash! Additionally, it includes a coin printed with a serial number, and the other side features Turbo Granny's cute emblem, increasing its collectible value.
