After a 19-year hiatus, the iconic slasher franchise "I Know What You Did Last Summer" is set to storm the big screen again this summer. With the release date fast approaching, the second official trailer for the fourth installment has now been unleashed.
This new chapter is directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who helmed "Do Revenge" and co-wrote "Thor: Love and Thunder." The screenplay was co-written by Robinson, Jeff Howard ("Gerald's Game"), and Sam Lansky ("Do Revenge"). The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 18.

The cast features the return of original franchise stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., who are joined by a new generation of talent including Chase Sui Wonders ("Bodies Bodies Bodies"), Madelyn Cline ("Outer Banks"), and Jonah Hauer-King, who starred as Prince Eric in the live-action "The Little Mermaid."

Official synopsis: When five friends are involved in a deadly car accident, they make the fateful decision to cover it up and agree to take their secret to the grave. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them when they're forced to confront a terrifying reality: someone knows what they did last summer and is out for revenge. As the friends find themselves stalked by a killer, they discover that similar events have happened before and decide to seek help from the only two survivors of the 1997 Southport massacre.
