RX-78F00/E Gundam（Gundam）
A renewable energy utilization demonstration test machine designed for Mobile Suits (MS) to operate independently in unsupplied space for extended periods. Its most significant feature is the high-efficiency, state-of-the-art solar conversion system equipped on its back—the Glass Feather (G.L.R.S.S. Feather). With the power provided by this system, the unit successfully maintained high basic performance without increasing the burden on the surrounding environment.
The Chogokin RX-78F00/E Gundam is a modification of the previously released Yokohama version RX-78F00. It utilizes new parts to recreate the distinctive armor styling on the shoulder pads, skirt armor, and legs. The solar panels are rendered with clear parts, allowing a view of the internal detailed structure. Multiple areas across the entire unit are finished with metallic paint to convey a weighty texture, and some frame parts are also made of alloy material. The upper body even incorporates an internal LED light-up mechanism, allowing the head camera and chest vents to illuminate when powered on.
Accessories include multiple pairs of interchangeable sculpted hands, along with the same Beam Rifle, Shield, and Hyper Bazooka armaments as the Yokohama version. The dedicated display stand features a newly designed pattern for this Expo version, and its articulated support allows for displaying the Gundam itself and storing various weapon accessories.
To be honest, the playability is only average, and the QC is also mediocre, with relatively few accessories. Due to its design, it even lacks a beam saber, let alone the pair of glass wings which I believe will be DLC in the future... Furthermore, its articulation is indeed a step behind compared to Metal Build (MB), especially around the waist... However, its styling is undeniably refined and intricate. Regardless, as the most ardent Gundam fan, this commemorative product is a must-have collectible! After visiting the Gundam exhibition hall at the Expo, I believe your love for it will significantly increase. Although I don't have the money to go...
There's really nothing more to add! Just a reminder to everyone not to compare the Chogokin series with GFFMC or Metal Build; they are, after all, different production lines, and there will always be some differences in quality and specifications. Undeniably, the RX-78F00/E is a pure fan-service piece!
Hope to introduce the GFFMC Chou-kun version to everyone soon!
