The upcoming "Spider-Man 4," which some reports suggest may draw inspiration from the "Brand New Day" comic storyline, will see Destin Daniel Cretton, director of "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," take the helm, succeeding Jon Watts, who directed the first three installments. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the screenwriting duo behind the previous films, are returning to pen the script. Sadie Sink is also confirmed as a new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe cast for this film.
