Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular 6-inch action figure series "MAFEX" is once again releasing a new product based on the popular R-rated superhero series "The Boys" – the "No.269 Homelander (Blood Splatter Version)" action figure. The suggested retail price is 14,080 JPY, and it is scheduled to be released as a commemorative item at Medicom Toy Exhibition 2025 on July 26, 2025!
The main antagonist of the series, the leader of The Seven, Homelander, is a super-powered individual raised in a laboratory by Vought International. He possesses abilities similar to Superman, such as flight, heat vision, and superhuman strength. His immense power, combined with his extreme desire for control, paranoid and antisocial personality, and childish mindset, makes him an existence that everyone hates yet fears.
This Homelander (Blood Splatter Version) stands approximately 16 cm tall and is based on the regular version released in 2021, recreating two scenes from the series where Homelander is covered in blood. The body features blood splatter paint applications on the chest, arms, and back. Furthermore, sculptor Masato Ohata has newly crafted three brand-new head sculpts. The serious and baring-teeth expressions are based on his appearance in Season 2, Episode 8, after slaughtering the soldiers who came looking for his illegitimate son. The unsettlingly satisfied smile, on the other hand, is based on the scene in Season 4, Episode 4, where he returns to the laboratory where he was raised and eliminates everyone. Regardless of the expression, each elevates Homelander's terrifying aura to another level, faithfully reproducing the powerful sense of oppression he brings to viewers!
