Liam Neeson's 2021 action-thriller "The Ice Road" garnered solid audience reviews, and now, four years later, the sequel, "Ice Road: Vengeance," is set to debut this Friday. Unlike the first installment, which was primarily a Netflix release, this new film will first have a limited theatrical run before becoming available on streaming and for digital rental. The promotional window for "Vengeance" has been notably brief, with its North American theatrical premiere slated for Friday, yet the first trailer only dropped this Monday (US time).

"Vengeance" sees Jonathan Hensleigh, known for "The Punisher," return to write and direct. New additions to the cast include Fan Bingbing, Geoff Morrell, Michala Banas, and Bernard Curry. The film is scheduled for a North American release this Friday, followed by VOD availability on July 1st.
The official synopsis reads: En route to Mount Everest, truck driver Mike McCann unexpectedly finds himself embroiled in a conflict with a brutal mercenary group. Protecting a bus full of tourists and saving a village in peril suddenly becomes his critical mission.
