BANDAI SPIRITS' immensely popular "Ichiban Kuji" brand, known for its guaranteed-win lottery, has announced the third installment of its merchandise based on the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX", titled "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX vol.3", slated for release in late November 2025. They have also provided an early reveal of two grand prize items.
"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is a new "Gundam" series anime produced collaboratively by two major animation studios: khara, known for the "Evangelion" series, and SUNRISE, known for the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series. It brings together veteran staff members such as "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition" director Kazuya Tsurumaki, mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita, and scriptwriters Yoji Enokido and Hideaki Anno. Additionally, illustrator Takeshi, who previously designed characters for the "Pokémon" series games, was invited to handle character design, and the protagonist Machu is voiced by the talented voice actress Tomoyo Kurosawa.
The story of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is set in Universal Century 0085, after the Principality of Zeon won the One Year War. Its unique parallel universe setting quickly generated buzz after its broadcast. The protagonist, Yoha Amate, is a high school girl living a peaceful daily life in a space colony. Feeling a constant sense of unreality, she one day encounters Nean, a war refugee girl, and accidentally becomes the pilot of the mysterious mobile suit "GQuuuuuuX". She then finds herself embroiled in the illegal MS dueling competition "Battle Royale", after which Yoha adopts the alias "Machu" and dedicates herself to intense daily battles.
"Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX vol.3" currently features three grand prizes: Prize A, Prize B, and the Last One Prize. Prize A is a GQuuuuuuX bust from the brand-new "BUSTISAN" bust figure series, crafted at a height of 18 cm, featuring precise sculpting that blends curves and straight lines, along with detailed color application. The Last One Prize, on the other hand, boasts a different head sculpt and additional effect parts, recreating the appearance of the "Endymion Device" during its awakening.
Prize B is a "Yoha Amate (Machu) Pilot Suit Ver." character figure from the MASTERLISE series, depicting her dynamic pose wearing a knit cap and pilot suit, at an approximate height of 18 cm.
