TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., under its "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, has officially unveiled a new product themed after the movie "Godzilla vs. Gigan" – the "King Ghidorah" action figure. It will retail for 30,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in November 2025!
In "Godzilla vs. Gigan," the M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens, whose home planet became uninhabitable due to severe pollution and war, sought to colonize Earth and reshape it to resemble their original home. They sent signals into space to summon King Ghidorah and Gigan to Earth, controlling the two space monsters with magnetic tapes to wreak havoc in Tokyo!
The last monster to appear in the film, King Ghidorah, has finally made its official debut in the S.H.MonsterArts series! This King Ghidorah (1972) stands approximately 25 cm tall. The prototype was personally sculpted by the authority in Godzilla modeling, Mr. Yuji Sakai, who meticulously referenced extensive materials to faithfully recreate the monster suit design from 1972. The sharp scales and the gentle curves of the horns on its heads are sculpted with precision, and a metallic paint finish reproduces its dazzling, golden visual effect! Each joint in its necks and tails boasts flexible articulation, allowing for a variety of dynamic poses. Furthermore, it can be displayed alongside the previously released Godzilla (1972), Gigan (1972), and Anguirus (1972) to recreate battle scenes from the film!
