In addition to "Shoyo Hinata," TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, has officially unveiled another new product under its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, based on the popular anime "Haikyuu!!": the "Tobio Kageyama" action figure. It will retail for 8,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in January 2026!
Tobio Kageyama, a graduate of Kitagawa Daiichi Junior High, is a genius setter with exceptional ball sense and technique. However, due to his poor communication skills and prickly demeanor, he earned the ambivalent nickname "King of the Court." After joining Karasuno and meeting Shoyo, his outstanding ball sense and control, combined with Shoyo's astonishing physical abilities, created the incredibly troublesome "Freak Quick" attack!
This S.H.Figuarts Tobio Kageyama stands approximately 15.5 cm tall, accurately reflecting his in-setting height of 15 cm taller than Shoyo. He is depicted wearing Karasuno's dark team uniform, with sculpted details faithfully reproducing the uniform's wrinkles, knee pads, and black volleyball shoes. The logo on the shoes even features a pearlescent paint finish to enhance its texture!
The articulation features butterfly joints in the shoulders and double-axis joints in the elbows and knees, allowing for easy posing in actions such as blocking, setting, or underhand serves! Accessories include five pairs of interchangeable hands, four interchangeable face parts, a flowing hair part, a volleyball, and a dedicated stand. It also includes a hand part depicting him trimming his nails, allowing for recreation of various poses from the series!
