The external collaboration toy series 『SYNERGENEX』, launched by Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY's high-end toy brand T-SPARK, has announced its latest product, "Basara Prime," a collaboration between its popular transforming toy 'Transformers' and the robot anime 'Macross 7,' slated for release in late March 2026.
Appearing in 'Macross 7,' the VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie is a special experimental unit modified from the "YF-19 Excalibur" developed by Shinsei Industry as part of the New U.N. Spacy's "Project Super Nova." Under the top-secret "Sound Force Project," it was piloted by Basara Nekki, the lead vocalist of the band FIRE BOMBER, to test the Sound Energy System. The entire unit is equipped only with defensive wing laser cannons and leg micro-missile pods; its primary weapon is the "song" emitted from its massive speakers, and it can even fire special speaker warheads to force opponents to listen to music.
The "SYNERGENEX Basara Prime" fuses the aesthetic characteristics of three entities: Transformers Autobot leader Optimus Prime, Basara Nekki, and the Fire Valkyrie. It not only boasts passionate red and yellow color schemes but also faithfully recreates "FIGHTER," "GERWALK," "Battroid," and "Vehicle" modes through its intricate transformation mechanism.
Among these, the Battroid mode offers the most diverse playability. The head features three interchangeable face sculpts, the chest armor can open to reveal internal speakers, and the container can transform into a small stage equipped with speakers and a microphone, allowing Basara Prime to wield an electric guitar and strike a passionate singing pose!
