Besides the five new August 2025 releases from the Danish LEGO toy company's Creator series, known for its 3-in-1 versatile play, which we introduced recently , set number 31171, "Wild Animals: Majestic Rhino with Birds," has also recently appeared, with a suggested retail price of US$59.99.
This set contains a total of 780 pieces. Toy enthusiasts can assemble a thick-bodied, impressively robust rhino. The rhino's body and strong hind legs, built with a rich variety of pieces, have a strong presence. Once assembled, it measures 24 cm in length. Not only are its four feet and head posable, but you can also place grass in the rhino's mouth or have the brick-built birds perch on its back, just like scenes from the African savanna on animal channels.
The other two build options are a hippo that can open its mouth wide and a walrus. The editor personally really likes the hippo's design, especially its hind legs, which are built differently from the rhino but look equally substantial and impressive. However, when the walrus lifts its head, there's a somewhat subtle hollow feeling around its neck and chest, suggesting room for modification, or perhaps sacrificing articulation for a more perfect aesthetic.
