Japanese company KADOKAWA's figure brand "KDcolle" is releasing a new product based on the popular anime "A Certain Scientific Railgun" – the "Misaka Mikoto Furisode Ver." 1/7 scale pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 31,900 JPY, available for pre-order only, with an estimated release in February 2026!
"A Certain Scientific Railgun" is a Japanese light novel series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Motoi Fuyukawa, adapted into a TV anime by Japanese animation studio J.C.STAFF. The protagonist, "Misaka Mikoto," affectionately known as "Railgun" by fans, ranks third among the seven Level 5 espers in Academy City. She can freely manipulate one billion volts of high-voltage current, electromagnetic waves, and magnetism, making her Academy City's strongest electromaster.
This "Misaka Mikoto Furisode Ver." 1/7 scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 28 cm tall. It captures Railgun's appearance from a limited-edition ukiyo-e illustration, of which only 100 copies were released. The sculpt faithfully recreates the illustration's pose, with one hand holding an umbrella and the other poised to launch a coin. It meticulously reproduces the intricate details of the orange furisode, which perfectly suits Railgun's image, with printed patterns showcasing the complex and gorgeous designs on the kimono. Furthermore, blue translucent lightning effect parts are crafted behind her feet and next to the coin in her hand, exquisitely bringing to life the dynamic and splendid moment of her unleashing the Railgun from the illustration!
