American toy brand SUPER7 recently announced the latest product in its "ULTIMATES!" series, the "Martian (The Invasion Begins Glow-in-the-Dark)" 7-inch action figure, based on the movie Mars Attacks! Pre-orders are now open on the SUPER7 official website, with an estimated shipping date of November 2025 and a suggested retail price of US$65.
Directed by visionary director Tim Burton and released in 1996, the sci-fi film Mars Attacks was conceived from Topps toy company's Mars Attacks trading cards. The story describes a group of highly civilized Martians arriving on Earth, proclaiming "We come in peace," but harboring malicious intentions, repeatedly massacring with laser guns. From the absurd yet cautionary plot setting, the terrifying alien invaders, powerful laser attacks that instantly reduce humans to skeletons, to the super bizarre human-headed dog, everything is unforgettable! And of course, there's Slim Whitman's ultimate song against aliens, Indian Love Call.
This second wave (Wave 2) "Mars Attacks ULTIMATES!" glow-in-the-dark Martian action figure stands approximately 7 inches (about 17.7 cm) tall. Like one of the Martians from the first wave, it is designed based on Topps trading card #1, THE INVASION BEGINS. The overall sculpt and accessories are essentially the same, but now feature new colors and exciting glow-in-the-dark effects. The packaging design is also very appealing.
Also debuting simultaneously is the SUPER7 official website exclusive SUPER PACK. This basically takes the head sculpt and damaged helmet, originally based on Topps trading card #50, SMASHING THE ENEMY, from the first wave, and repackages them as a separate carded toy.
