During the "Superman" premiere red carpet in London, star David Corenswet revealed in an interview with British outlet Heart that he had proactively reached out to two predecessors who played the Man of Steel: Henry Cavill from "Man of Steel" and Tyler Hoechlin from The CW's "Arrowverse" series "Superman & Lois," seeking advice on portraying the iconic role.

However, both actors unanimously responded by declining to offer advice, emphasizing that this approach was "Superman's style."
Corenswet stated, "They both, in their own way, said, 'I'm not going to give you any advice.' And I think that's a very 'Superman' thing to do — he's not someone who tells people what to do."
"What they really wanted to convey was encouragement and blessings, hoping that I would enjoy the role, which I think also aligns with the spirit of Superman. They've been incredibly supportive, and we've had great interactions. I look forward to truly meeting them one day; it would be amazing for the three Supermen to sit down and chat," he further added.

The new "Superman," directed by James Gunn, is set to premiere on July 9, 2025. The star-studded cast includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.
