Mattel Creations, the online sales platform of American toy company Mattel that collaborates with fan creators, has announced a new "Hot Wheels" die-cast car series product for this year's annual event, San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). This movie-themed release, the "Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Die-Cast Car Set," has a suggested retail price of US$32 and is also scheduled to be released simultaneously on the Mattel Creations official website on July 24, 2025, at 09:00 AM Pacific Time!

This "Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Die-Cast Car Set" recreates the scene from the movie on October 26, 1985, at 1:15 AM, when Marty and Doc meet in front of Twin Pines Mall. It includes the truck used to transport the DeLorean Time Machine, featuring the "DR E. BROWN ENTERPRISES 24 HR. SCIENTIFIC SERVICES" lettering, as well as the DeLorean Time Machine itself. Both vehicles are meticulously reproduced in their on-screen appearance at the die-cast car scale. The DeLorean Time Machine can be loaded into the truck's cargo bed, and by opening the bed, the time machine can slide out backward, recreating the classic scene of the DeLorean Time Machine's first appearance!

The packaging box features a two-layer design. The inner layer has a window design, with internal printing that recreates the Twin Pines Mall parking lot scene, and the exterior printed with the front and rear profiles of the DeLorean Time Machine. The outer packaging replicates the truck's appearance, making the unboxing process feel like retrieving the DeLorean Time Machine from the truck!
