Sanrio, the company behind numerous adorable IPs, is launching new merchandise themed after the upcoming Netflix animated series "My Melody & Kuromi"—the "My Melody Assemble-It-Yourself Dollhouse" and the "Kuromi Assemble-It-Yourself Dollhouse." Both are priced at 5,500 JPY (reference price) and are slated for release in mid-July 2025!
The Japanese original stop-motion animation "My Melody & Kuromi" (マイメロディとクロミ) will tell the story of My Melody, who runs a cake shop, and Kuromi, who runs a Japanese sweets shop, in Maryland Land. As they work together to prepare for a dessert-making competition, they get caught up in an event that threatens the fate of Maryland. The series is set to premiere on the streaming platform Netflix on July 24th, which is highly anticipated!
These two dollhouses, through simple assembly, recreate the homes of My Melody and Kuromi as seen in the series. While sharing the same layout, they showcase the distinct stylistic differences between the two characters. The adorable furniture designs are faithfully sculpted, and flocked My Melody and Kuromi figures are included for play. My Melody's house features an additional swing on the exterior for her to play on, and both dollhouses can even be combined to create a single display scene.
