Japan's renowned gashapon manufacturer, Kitan Club, with its popular "ART IN THE POCKET" (AIP) series, following its collaboration with Kojima Productions on the "LUDENS -DELUXE EDITION-", is once again receiving acclaim with the release of its latest product featuring the company's iconic character: the "AIP LUDENS -SIMPLE EDITION-" gashapon! There are three variations in total, with a reference price of 500 JPY per capsule, scheduled for release in late June 2025.
The iconic character of the renowned game development studio Kojima Productions, "Ludens", takes its name from the 1938 work "Homo Ludens" by Dutch scholar Johan Huizinga. Its design features an astronaut wearing a skull-shaped mask and a heavy mechanical Extravehicular Activity (EVA) suit, symbolizing the creation of a new future and bringing novel gaming experiences through cutting-edge equipment, advanced technology, and a pioneering spirit.

The "AIP LUDENS -SIMPLE EDITION-" gashapon, at a palm-sized approximately 8 cm tall, exquisitely recreates Ludens' complex, astronaut-like technological gear, with meticulously sculpted details including straps, tubing, and metallic elements. It comes in three unpainted variations: CLEAR RED, CLEAR BLACK, and GLOW IN THE DARK. The Clear Red and Clear Black versions fully leverage the transparent material's molded color, allowing a subtle glimpse of the skull-like face within and offering a clear, translucent aesthetic; while the Glow-in-the-Dark version emits a mysterious luminous effect! Each also holds a flag emblazoned with the Kojima Productions logo, making it an accessible collectible at a more affordable price point~
