The first film in the rebooted DC Universe, "Superman," is currently dominating the box office and stands as one of the hottest commercial blockbusters of the moment. As media outlets cover its box office performance, they are also revealing the salaries of its key creative personnel. Reports recently surfaced that lead actors David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, due to their relatively lower profiles, reportedly earned $750,000 each, plus backend box office bonuses. Nicholas Hoult, a more established actor with a longer list of commercial credits, reportedly commanded $2 million. Variety magazine not only confirmed these figures but also revealed director James Gunn's compensation.

Variety noted that while star salaries typically outpace directors', "Superman" is an exception. Gunn's fee stands as the highest for the entire production, as he personally took home $15 million. This figure is separate from his annual salary as co-CEO of DC Studios, which is reported to be at least seven figures.
Both DC and Warner Bros. Pictures are reportedly very optimistic about "Superman's" box office performance. Gunn has also repeatedly hinted that sequel ideas were already in development even before the film's premiere. However, this doesn't necessarily mean "Superman Part II" will fast-track into production. Variety's same report indicated that development on the rebooted "Wonder Woman" film is picking up significant pace. Furthermore, the recently submitted script for "The Batman Part II" has reportedly left Warner Bros. executives highly impressed. Both projects are now likely to accelerate into production, potentially arriving in theaters sooner than "Superman Part II."
