The "Ikimono Daizukan" (いきもの大図鑑) product series, released by Bandai Toy Company's GASHAPON capsule toy division and known for faithfully recreating realistic details of natural creatures, will launch its latest "Ikimono Daizukan Repti Dinosaur Vol. 3" (いきもの大図鑑 レプティ 恐竜03) on GASHAPON ONLINE tomorrow (22nd)! Shipping is scheduled to begin in October 2025, with a suggested retail price of 500 JPY per capsule, offering a total of six types to collect.
Following the ">first volume released in February this year and the ">second volume in July, this "Ikimono Daizukan Repti Dinosaur Vol. 3" once again features Japanese sculptor Nendo Seijin (ねんど星人), renowned for their expertise in depicting animals and monsters, as the prototype sculptor. The coloring is handled by Japanese animal sculptor Jiro Miura. Continuing the previous works' style of combining intricate realism with a charming, slightly-chibi proportion, these figures, ranging from 8.5 to 11 cm, fully capture the hard skin texture and muscle lines of the dinosaurs. The paint application maintains a highly biological gradient while also featuring a more diverse overall color palette.
The dinosaurs joining the fray this time include the fierce and agile small dinosaur "Velociraptor" (in light and dark colors), the "Pentaceratops" (in green and brown colors), said to possess one of the largest skulls among terrestrial animals, and the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops, making a return with new striped pattern (縞模様) paint applications. Feather-like structures can be seen on the Velociraptor's forelimbs and tail, highlighting their close relationship with modern birds. Opening the mouth of each dinosaur reveals exquisitely detailed internal oral structures. Regarding articulation, the bipedal Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus Rex feature 9 points of articulation, while the Pentaceratops and Triceratops have 6 points of articulation. This allows for dynamic and engaging poses.
■ Velociraptor (Light) / ヴェロキラプトル（ライト）
■ Velociraptor (Dark) / ヴェロキラプトル（ダーク）
■ Pentaceratops (Green) / ペンタケラトプス（グリーン）
■ Pentaceratops (Brown) / ペンタケラトプス（ブラウン）
■ Tyrannosaurus Rex (Striped Pattern) / ティラノサウルス（縞模様）
■ Triceratops (Striped Pattern) / トリケラトプス（縞模様）
