Marvel Comics recently dropped a mysterious teaser, officially revealing a major turning point for its new Ultimate Universe. Titled "Ultimate Endgame," the upcoming event pays homage to the 2019 MCU film "Avengers: Endgame," sparking fan nostalgia and widespread speculation.

This event series, slated for December 2025, not only signals a pivotal conclusion for the Ultimate Universe, but its promotional art directly employs "dusting away" visual language. The letter "U" gradually dissolves, strikingly reminiscent of Thanos's devastating snap.

Sources indicate that "Ultimate Endgame" will be further unveiled at the "Marvel's Ultimate Universe" panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Creators expected to attend include Jonathan Hickman of "Ultimate Spider-Man" and Deniz Camp of "Ultimate Black Panther," who will pull back the curtain on this "ultimate finale." This isn't just a major event for the new Ultimate Universe's second year; it may also be connected to the Incursion crisis in the main Earth-616 universe.
From its marketing style and teaser imagery to its naming convention, Marvel is essentially treating this as a "comic book 'Endgame'," reigniting fan interest and anticipation for the Ultimate Universe. Is "Ultimate Endgame" truly a conclusion, or the dawn of another universe's rise? The answers will likely only be revealed by year-end.
