Hong Kong's renowned high-end collectible action figure brand, Hot Toys, has announced its latest product from the Japanese tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider V3": the "Kamen Rider V3 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure".
"Kamen Rider V3" is the second series in the Kamen Rider universe, following the original. It depicts the remnants of the Shocker organization, defeated in the previous work, establishing a new evil organization called "Destron." Takeshi Hongo's junior, Shiro Kazami, witnesses a Destron crime scene, leading to his entire family being murdered before his eyes. Fueled by revenge and seeking power, he voluntarily becomes a cyborg and transforms into "Kamen Rider V3" to fight Destron, gradually unlocking 26 secret powers through battles and training.
The "Kamen Rider V3 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure" is crafted with a fully articulated design, standing approximately XX cm tall. It faithfully recreates the texture of the original filming costume using various materials such as ABS, fabric, and soft vinyl. Details include the vintage irregular surface on the upper chest, the helmet's texture and transparent compound eyes, and the "Double Typhoon" transformation belt's fan. Furthermore, multiple areas across the body, including the gloves, feature weathering and distressing effects. Both the helmet and belt also incorporate built-in LED lights, allowing the compound eyes and fan to illuminate.
Accessories include 10 pairs of interchangeable hands, the deployed "V3 Hopper" reconnaissance device, the "Helmet" and "V3 Communication Pendant" used by the Junior Rider Squad, a handheld V3 helmet, and even an exquisitely sculpted, highly realistic "Shiro Kazami" interchangeable head sculpt. This head sculpt faithfully reproduces actor Hiroshi Miyauchi's appearance and hairstyle from his youth when portraying Shiro Kazami, and features articulated eyeballs for adjustable gaze. These can be combined with the figure's flexible articulation and display stand to recreate iconic scenes from the series.
