Charlie Cox Admits He Doesn't Own a Console, Still Wants to Play "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33": "Last Game I Played Was 'Super Mario 64'"

This year, the highly anticipated RPG "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33," developed by French team Sandfall Interactive, burst onto the scene, earning widespread acclaim from players and media alike. The title not only garnered a high score of 9/10 from IGN but also quickly emerged as a strong contender for Game of the Year.

However, in a surprising revelation, "Daredevil" star Charlie Cox, who lends his voice to the game's character Gustave, admitted that he has yet to purchase a console and hasn't actually played the game himself.

During a recent Q&A panel at GalaxyCon, Cox disclosed that his involvement in the project amounted to just a four-hour recording session. He jokingly referred to himself as "a fraud" because, despite voicing a significant character, he had no firsthand experience with the gameplay.

"I remember seeing the visuals in the recording studio and thinking, 'This game is truly beautiful. The gaming world has evolved so much since I last played 'Super Mario 64,''" Cox recalled.

Cox stated that the enthusiastic reception for "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" has piqued his interest, leading him to decide it's "time to buy a console." He further emphasized that the game's success is particularly remarkable given that it comes from a small, passionate team rather than a major studio.
