World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys has unveiled a new product based on The Dark Knight Trilogy film series—the "The Joker (Bank Robber Version)" 1/6th scale collectible figure. It will be released in two versions: General and Artisan Edition. This article will focus on the Artisan Edition, which has a suggested retail price of HKD 2,780 and is limited to 3,000 units for specific markets, with pre-orders opening soon!
The Dark Knight Trilogy, written, produced, and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan, is hailed as the most classic "Batman" film series of all time. Among its most unforgettable elements is undoubtedly the portrayal of the Joker by the late Heath Ledger in the second film, The Dark Knight. His performance—maniacal, brilliant, and adept at understanding human nature—left a deep impression, and is believed by many collectors to be the most iconic version of the Joker!
This The Joker (Bank Robber Version) Artisan Edition 1/6th scale collectible figure is based on the General Version. The figure also includes two meticulously crafted head sculpts: one unmasked and one masked. Both feature realistic paint applications and are equipped with a rolling eyeball system, allowing for subtle adjustments to the Joker's sinister gaze! The most significant feature of the Artisan Edition is the individual hand-rooted wool hair for the Joker's medium-length, curly, dirty green hair, creating an incredibly lifelike visual effect!
For the costume, fabric materials are tailored to faithfully recreate the striped shirt and gray suit worn in the opening scene. Accessories also include a pistol, a shotgun, twelve grenades, a pull-string smoke bomb, four additional smoke bombs and a grenade rack, stacks of cash, and a Joker card. The base features a bank-themed diorama, including interchangeable broken glass doors and damaged wooden planks, allowing collectors to recreate classic scenes from the film!
