Hong Kong toy manufacturer threezero, under its "ROBO-DOU" (ロボ道) series, which presents highly detailed and complex designs based on Japanese anime alloy mecha, is once again releasing a new product based on the classic anime "Patlabor" – the "Ingram Unit 1 Shadow Finish Ver." action figure. This will be one of threezero's 25th Anniversary limited edition series products. The suggested retail price is to be announced, it will be limited to 1000 units worldwide, and is expected to be released in Q1 2026!
"Patlabor" is a manga series by Masami Yuuki, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" from 1988 to 1994. In 1989, it was adapted into a theatrical film and a TV anime series by STUDIO DEEN and HEADGEAR animation studio, respectively. Among them, the theatrical film series directed by Japanese animation master Mamoru Oshii remains a highly discussed classic to this day! At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France in 2017, it was officially announced that a new work, "Patlabor EZY," would be released. After many years, the project was finally confirmed last year to officially launch in 2026, with JC.STAFF handling the animation production!
This "Ingram Unit 1 Shadow Finish Ver." 1/35 scale action figure stands approximately 23 cm tall. It is a recolor based on the first release in the ROBO-DOU series, ROBO-DOU Ingram Unit 1. The sculpting meticulously recreates the mecha's design details, featuring a precise zinc alloy metal frame and nearly 50 points of articulation throughout the body, offering substantial weight and poseability! Compared to the previously released standard version, this Shadow Finish Ver. utilizes a delicate shading technique, presenting an illustration-like style for a more refined visual experience!
The shoulder warning lights feature red and yellow LED illumination functions. The cockpit hatch can be opened to place a mini figure of pilot Noa Izumi. The seat can be raised and lowered to allow the pilot's head to emerge from the Ingram's neck position, and the neck windshield can also be opened. Accessories include a revolver cannon, an extended stun stick, a stored stun stick, a riot gun, and a shield that can be mounted on the left forearm. These can be combined with the flexible articulation to recreate Ingram Unit 1's cool poses from the anime!
