At the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Comics officially announced the creative lineup for the third issue of "Venom: Black, White & Blood." The biggest highlight is the debut of "Samurai Venom," a brand-new character crafted by Takashi Okazaki, creator of "Afro Samurai," injecting a rich Japanese aesthetic and samurai spirit into the Venom mythos.
This issue continues the series' signature limited color palette of black, white, and red, featuring three distinct short stories. In addition to Okazaki's ancient Japan chapter, actor David Dastmalchian and artist Philip Tan collaborate on a story focusing on Eddie Brock's early days as Venom. It depicts how he silently tracked Spider-Man and evaded his Spider-Sense, with a timeline set even before "The Amazing Spider-Man" #299.
Another story comes from the original creative team behind "What If Peter Parker Became the Punisher?", Carl Potts and Damian Couceiro. Their tale explores how a more violent and extreme Peter Parker merges with the symbiote, becoming a vastly different kind of Venom.

Okazaki's original chapter transports readers to ancient Japan, debuting a samurai-armored Venom wielding a katana against the new villain "Crimson Carnage." This story seamlessly blends symbiote elements with a Japanese Sengoku period aesthetic, promising a powerful visual impact.
"Venom: Black, White & Blood" #3, one of four issues in the series, is set to release on October 29, 2025. The main cover is drawn by Kevin Eastman, co-creator of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," while Okazaki himself provided a variant cover, adding a compelling footnote to this three-way creative collaboration.
