Hideo Kojima's highly anticipated sequel, "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach," is set to make a powerful debut in 2025. Protagonist "Sam Porter Bridges" embarks on another solitary journey, this time across a post-apocalyptic Australian continent. Hot Toys officially announced today (23rd) the 1/6th scale "Sam" collectible figure from the game, exquisitely recreating Norman Reedus' in-game appearance and new equipment. With its usual high level of accuracy, it is sure to ignite a collecting frenzy once again! A total of three versions will be released: a Regular Edition, a Deluxe Version, and an Artisan Edition Deluxe Version.
Fully Equipped, Heavily Armed! The Lone Courier's Complete Evolution
The "Sam" collectible figure, standing approximately 31 cm tall, features a newly sculpted head with rolling eyeballs, showcasing his delicate facial features and iconic dark brown hair. His full "Drawbridge Armor Suit" boasts UV fluorescent reflective effects, complemented by a vest-style multi-functional harness, a detachable Battle Skeleton, back armor, and the Odradek scanner, among other classic equipment, significantly enhancing its visual impact and texture.
He wears "Porter Boots" on his feet, fully displaying the weathered signs of use from head to toe; nine interchangeable hands are included, allowing Sam to easily adapt to various posing needs.
Weapons Galore, Gear Overload! The Ultimate Version Packed with Details
The weapons include the iconic "Strand" rope from the Death Stranding series, a machine gun, an LW Lv.2 Assault Rifle, and a Blood Boomerang that can be folded and attached to the harness, all exquisitely crafted and freely combinable.
Furthermore, the game's equipment system is one of its highlights. Various pieces of equipment such as the back protector, anti-gravity device, crystal storage container, and grenade pouch can all be magnetically attached to the backpack. Medium and large cargo boxes can also be freely combined and arranged, perfectly recreating the fun of "cargo stacking art" from the game! The on-body equipment is equally meticulous, including spare magazine pouches, grenade pouches, a pistol holster, a canteen, and a multi-tool pouch, creating a fully loaded appearance that is the ultimate dream for dedicated fans.
BB Pod and Dollman Appear Together! Collection Value Further Enhanced
Of course, Sam's soul partner, the "BB Pod," is indispensable. This release includes two interchangeable outer shells, allowing for the recreation of BB's different reaction modes. The backpack also features an "Electrobiote" charm symbolizing connection and a special amulet for the BB Pod, both highly sentimental! An added bonus is the inclusion of Sam's quirky companion, the "Dollman" doll, which appears alongside a specially designed display stand, further elevating the completeness of the collection! It's worth noting that a special limited edition for certain markets will also include an additional metal "Death Stranding 2" collectible card with a display stand, delivering a final punch to an already incredibly generous figure.
Hot Toys' "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach" Sam figure demonstrates astonishing sincerity in its head sculpt expression, equipment recreation, weapon accuracy, and accessory design – it's practically packaging the game scene directly into your display cabinet! Combining both authenticity and playability, this is a must-have for both game fans and figure collectors alike. What are you waiting for? Let this porter, who walks at the end of the world, become the crucial bridge connecting all your collectibles in your display case!
