Japan's official Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, has announced that the special product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", "MG 1/100 Freedom Gundam Ver.2.0 [CROSS CONTRAST COLORS / CLEAR BLUE]", previously sold exclusively at the Bandai official flagship store in China and GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE FINAL in TOKYO, will be available at all GUNDAM BASE stores starting August 16, 2025.
The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam is a new-generation Mobile Suit designed by the Z.A.F.T. military after acquiring the Earth Alliance's GAT-X series G-Weapons. Utilizing technologies such as beam weaponry and Phase Shift Armor, it is equipped with a "Neutron Jammer Canceller" that allows its nuclear engine to operate normally. The abundant energy not only extends its operational time but also enables it to simultaneously fire high-energy, high-firepower armaments like the "Xiphias" Railguns and "Balaena" Plasma Beam Cannons. A single unit possesses superior capabilities for atmospheric re-entry and high-mobility aerial combat.
The "CROSS CONTRAST COLORS" in the name of "MG 1/100 Freedom Gundam Ver.2.0 [CROSS CONTRAST COLORS / CLEAR BLUE]" refers to a new effect achieved by fusing various materials such as monochrome, clear, metallic colors, and decals with Bandai's researched model kit technology, creating a striking contrast to the original design.
This kit redesigns the original blue and white color scheme of the Freedom Gundam into a cool and elegant style featuring aqua blue and clear blue armor. Numerous clear blue parts are used in various areas, including the chest, limbs, and wings. Mirror-finish crack-patterned transfer decals can be applied all over the body. When the wings are deployed, it resembles a unique snowflake, conveying a special imagery of ice and snow layered upon each other.
