TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has officially announced the latest product from its popular METAL BUILD alloy toy spin-off series, 'METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE'. The product, originating from the OVA "New Story of AURA BATTLER Dunbine", is "Sirbine (White Treasure)" and is scheduled for release in December 2025.
The protagonist mobile suit of the OVA "Aura Battler DUNBINE: New Story of Aura Battler DUNBINE", Sirbine, is an Aura Battler that slumbered in the sacred land of "Bara-Bara". The reincarnation of protagonist Sho Zama, Shion Zaba, pilots this machine to protect Princess Remul, engaging in fierce battles against the Zwarth piloted by his arch-rival, the Black Knight Raban. Sirbine's design philosophy is vastly different from other Aura Battlers; it carries no projectile weapons and lacks any dashboard equipment. The pilot must wear a helmet and use the "Mind's Eye" (心眼), a powerful Aura Power, to target enemies. With just a sword and a shield, it can unleash its most formidable combat performance.
The product "METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE Sirbine (White Treasure)" is a modified version based on the previously released standard edition. The characteristic white armor of the entire unit has been repainted with white metallic particle paint. Transparent parts such as the chest armor and wings feature vibrant gradient colors. The alloy joint parts are electroplated with a coppery finish, evoking the sacred aura of the legendary Aura Battler's awakening.
The exterior design reuses parts from the standard edition, with an extended design based on mechanical designer Yutaka Izubuchi's illustrations. It emphasizes the highly organic, "beast-material-crafted" aesthetic from the original work, while incorporating a modern, tall silhouette and armor segmentation. The chest houses the DRAGON SCALE series' characteristic "Soul Internal Structure", allowing the layered chest armor to unfold, revealing the intricately detailed transparent pink cockpit within.
The wing design on the back, resembling an insect's elytra, features a multi-layered deployment mechanism. Additionally, new one-piece, non-articulated transparent green wing parts are included, allowing for a magnificent, statue-like display pose. The sole weapon, the "Aura Sword", faithfully reproduces the intricate carvings on its blade and sheath with delicate sculpting and gold paint. It also includes "Aura Power" and "Special Aura Slash" effect parts that attach to the sword, allowing for dynamic battle scenes.
