Hong Kong-based model maker Ember Toys, known for its diverse lineup of character sofubi, has announced the latest addition to its "Chibi Creature" series. Coming in November 2025 is a new vinyl figure of the titular mecha from the classic robot anime, "Brave Raideen". The figure will be priced at $62 USD.
"Brave Raideen" first aired in Japan in 1975, running for a total of 50 episodes. The story follows protagonist Akira Hibiki as he pilots Raideen, a 52-meter-tall giant robot and a great legacy of the ancient Mu Empire, to fight back against the invasion of the Demon Empire. Powered by the mysterious Mutron energy, Raideen boasts a unique arsenal and the ability to transform into its bird-like "God Bird" mode for devastating ramming attacks. The classic mecha is also a frequent and beloved participant in the "Super Robot Wars" video game series.
This Chibi Creature release from Ember Toys captures Raideen in a super-deformed style. Standing approximately 17 cm tall, the figure faithfully recreates every detail of the original design with vibrant, anime-accurate colors. The arms feature a degree of articulation, allowing it to be posed wielding its signature God Shield and God Gogan bow. Overall, this is a beautifully detailed piece that super robot fans will definitely want to check out for their collection.
