From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, the 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, known for its most diverse range of mobile suits, has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam 00", the "HG 1/144 Graham's Union Flag Custom II (GN Flag)", scheduled for release in September 2025.
Union pilot Graham Aker, seeking revenge for his fallen comrades, swore to destroy the Gundams with a Flag. He commissioned Billy Katagiri and other MSWAD development team members to design a unit for him. Based on the Union Flag Custom, and equipped with a pseudo-solar furnace salvaged from a GN-X that Graham did not use, this emergency-manufactured SVMS-01X Graham's Union Flag Custom II was completed. Although its output and mobility were significantly enhanced, the unit's overall completion was low, requiring the abandonment of its original transformation mechanism to barely maintain structural integrity. Its powerful instantaneous acceleration even caused Graham to vomit blood. Its primary weapon was a wired GN Beam Saber, stolen and modified from a Throne Gundam.
The "HG 1/144 Graham's Union Flag Custom II (GN Flag)" is produced with numerous new parts, faithfully recreating the distinct design from the anime, which differs from the Union Flag Custom. Multiple molded part colors are used to represent two shades of black armor, and most white armor sections are individually molded. The head's visor features a movable mechanism, allowing it to open to both sides to reveal the internal twin-eye camera. The forearms also reproduce the mechanism for the internal plasma sword.
The kit also features a flexible articulation design. With newly designed pull-out joints in the shoulders, the range of motion for both arms and the upper body is significantly enhanced. The cable connecting the beam saber to the pseudo-solar furnace is made of soft material, and the pseudo-solar furnace itself has a left-right movable design, allowing for dynamic poses such as cool sword swings and the classic thrust from the final battle against the Gundam Exia.
