Netflix has canceled the action-comedy series "FUBAR," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro, with no plans for future seasons, Deadline exclusively reported today. The show's second season, which premiered in mid-June, failed to garner the audience support of its predecessor, falling short of the viewership threshold required for renewal. After over a month of deliberation, the streamer decided to pull the plug on the short-lived series.

Deadline noted that "FUBAR" Season 1 accumulated approximately 11 million views during its premiere weekend. However, Season 2's opening weekend performance saw its peak traffic only reach seventh place on the English TV series chart, with accumulated views plummeting to just 3.3 million. Deadline expressed surprise at Season 2's performance, as Schwarzenegger consistently enjoys strong international appeal. Barbaro, whose acting career has been on a significant upswing following her breakout role in "Top Gun: Maverick" and her casting in the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic "A Complete Unknown," also stars. Despite their combined star power, this apparently wasn't enough to boost Season 2's viewership.
