MEGAHOUSE, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced the latest product in its large-scale, light-and-sound-effect monster statue series, 'UA Monsters': 'Burning Godzilla (1995)' from 'Godzilla vs. Destoroyah', slated for release in February 2026.
In the film, a violent nuclear fission reaction caused by high-purity natural uranium in the Earth's crust led to the instantaneous disappearance of Godzilla's home, Birth Island. Due to an abnormal homing instinct, Godzilla's internal nuclear energy became abnormally active, causing his body temperature to continuously rise like a massive nuclear weapon. His scorching skin took on a super-high-temperature 'Burning' state, and even the power of his heat ray became stronger. However, his body temperature was approaching the critical meltdown temperature of 1200℃, bringing him to the brink of death.
The 'UA Monsters Burning Godzilla (1995)' is crafted at an impressive height of approximately 30 cm, meticulously recreating his cool pose with his head raised in a roar. The overall sculpt is vivid and fierce, faithfully reproducing the rows of teeth inside his mouth and the coral-like dorsal fins on his back. The eyes utilize multi-layered transparent parts to achieve a lifelike, glossy pupil, while the lava-like scorching body surface is rendered with transparent parts and detailed paintwork.
The statue incorporates an abundance of internal LED lights to represent the unstable nuclear energy within. Through repeated study of each light's duration and interval, the illumination achieves a more dynamic 'flickering flame' effect when lit. Operating the switch on the dedicated display base allows for switching between two modes, enabling powerful light and sound performances. Furthermore, the display base includes two nameplate stickers: the English name "GODZILLA (1995)" and the Japanese film title "ゴジラVSデストロイヤ".
Mode 1: The eyes, body, dorsal fins, and other parts illuminate, accompanied by Burning Godzilla's powerful roar. Based on the scene where he lands in Hong Kong in the film, it recreates the flickering appearance of his dorsal fins and body.
Mode 2: Recreates the powerful continuous emission of "Spiral Heat Ray" and "Abnormal Radiation Flames". The lighting mechanisms in his mouth and throughout his body will flash in sync with sound effects, depicting the heat ray gathering energy from his entire body and finally firing from his mouth.
