Josh Brolin, known for his iconic portrayal of Thanos in "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame," recently discussed his potential return to Marvel and past filming experiences during an interview with host Josh Horowitz.
He stated that if the Russo Brothers (Joe & Anthony Russo) were to invite him back to play Thanos, he would "be there tomorrow."

Brolin recalled Thanos's brief cameo debut in 2014's "Guardians of the Galaxy," saying that while he was filming "Everest" in London, the crew brought him a thick binder of materials. However, the Thanos section was only a few thin pages, indicating he would only be on screen for ten minutes. This, he noted, eventually evolved into a massive project.
He admitted that he received fake scripts during production for secrecy, only getting the real version on set. Despite the challenge of not being able to prepare in advance, he felt the final result made it all worthwhile.
Regarding the possibility of working together again, he joked that Thanos's absurdity particularly fascinated him, comparing it to early black box theater where actors could convince an audience without any props.

Brolin also revealed that he speaks with Robert Downey Jr. several times a year and is in weekly contact with the Russo Brothers, stating, "I love them both." Discussing the Russo Brothers' upcoming "Avengers: Secret Wars," he expressed confidence, saying, "They're going to come up with something interesting. I don't know what they're going to do, but it's going to be something to see."
The program also mentioned that Brolin had previously declined an invitation from DC Studios to play Hal Jordan in the series "Lanterns," a role later taken by Kyle Chandler.

When asked which he regretted more—"Lanterns" or James Cameron's "Avatar"—he jokingly replied it was the latter. Regarding "Lanterns," he said he knew Kyle Chandler and Paula Patton were in it, and he had even shot a pilot with Patton. He added that he was looking forward to seeing the series, praising Chandler as "solid and great." As for whether Patton was rumored to play Hal Jordan's love interest, Carol Ferris, in the same series, Brolin did not provide a definitive answer.
