Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav recently sent a letter to shareholders, announcing that Robert Pattinson's return in "The Batman Part II" is officially set to begin filming next spring. He also confirmed that James Gunn will continue to write and direct the "Superman" sequel, teasing that the second installment will center on the "Superman family." While Zaslav didn't specify which characters would be included, it is widely expected to feature Superman's cousin, Supergirl Kara Zor-El.

Adding to the news, renowned entertainment journalist Jeff Sneider reported on his paid blog, The InSneider, that the script for "The Batman Part II," co-written by director Matt Reeves and Mattson Tomlin, is incredibly bold and will indeed include Robin as a key part of the story. "The Batman Part II" is slated for an October 1, 2027, release. The "Superman" sequel does not yet have a release date, but with Gunn already developing the story, fans likely won't have to wait long.
