Voltron
Voltron is a robot anime produced by Toei Animation of Japan and broadcast on Tokyo Channel 12; the main robot is formed by the combination of five lions. In A.D. 1999, the beastman Galra Empire ruled the universe, and Earth was devastated as if entering a third world war, with humanity reduced to slavery. Five imprisoned Earth youths escaped from the Galra Castle prison to the neighboring Altea Kingdom. Princess Farla, who firmly believed her father's last words were awaiting the appearance of the five individuals: Kogane Akira, Shirogane Takashi, Kurogane Isamu, Seidou Tsuyoshi, and Seidou Hiroshi, then released the seal of the legendary guardian deity "Golion," attempting to stop the tyrannical invasion of the Galra Empire and save this dark world. After the five lions combined, the ancient demon reappeared, becoming the new savior of the universe, wielding the "Blazing Sword."
This toy review is easy to write!
Each of the five lions has limited articulation, but once combined, Voltron's articulation is much better than expected! Especially the hip joint design allows for many dynamic poses, and even standing on one leg is not an issue! For a robot toy, the articulation is already outstanding. Of course, the pair of chrome-plated weapons acquired at the ACGHK2025 venue are indispensable! The overall price is affordable, yet the high quality is maintained, and not even half a sticker is needed – truly impressive!
Currently, the online resale price exceeds HKD 350. I strongly recommend ordering directly from Action Toys! Although it won't come with the chrome-plated weapons, the price is still only HKD 300. For such a high-quality toy, waiting a bit longer is definitely worth it!
