Appearing as the final surprise in the "Fuuto PI The Movie," is the phantom basic form of Kamen Rider W, "Cyclone Skull," transformed by Sokichi Narumi & Philip. Initially, it was planned to appear only as a silhouette, just like in the original work. However, with the assistance of Daisuke Kobayashi, who was responsible for designing Skull back then, the long-awaited visualization for fans was finally realized.
Riku Sanjo, who supervised the script for this film, explained, "Based on the fundamental setting, if the Double Driver is used, all W bodies should inherently have the same appearance. However, we attempted to design it as if it were slightly interfered with by a powerful Skull Memory, thus the designs of the chest and mouth became slightly more Skull-like, and the scarf also adopted a Skull style." Director Kabashima also excitedly recalled, "When I saw the agreed-upon design, and saw the chest transform into Skull's ribs, I kept thinking, 'I really want to draw that!'"
The Cyclone Skull form is a Rider that was never realized within the story, existing only in its setting. In the "Beginning's Night" arc, prior to the start of the Kamen Rider W story, the masked woman Shroud entrusted Sokichi Narumi, the user of Kamen Rider SKULL, to infiltrate the secret organization "Museum" that produces Gaia Memories and rescue Philip. She also handed him the Kamen Rider W transformation device, the "Double Driver," hoping that Sokichi Narumi and Philip would complete the transformation and become a tool for her revenge plan. However, with Sokichi Narumi's accidental death during the mission, Shroud's envisioned "Kamen Rider W Cyclone Skull" was never realized.
Cyclone Skull サイクロンスカル Cyclone Skull
This form is achieved by combining the Double Driver with the Cyclone Gaia Memory (right) and the Skull Gaia Memory (left). Its body is primarily green and black. It was Shroud's default basic W form, but it did not appear in the main series. Its appearance was officially revealed in the promotional material for the Fuuto PI The Movie, "Kamen Rider SKULL's Portrait."
"Kamen Rider W Cyclone Skull" is based on modifications of the previously released Kamen Rider W CycloneJoker form and Kamen Rider SKULL. It utilizes new color applications to reproduce the right-half Cyclone, left-half Skull color scheme, and features new head parts and new scarf parts to recreate the Skull design, which differs from Shotaro's version, and the same tattered scarf as SKULL.
Accessories include 7 pairs of interchangeable hands, a flowing scarf part for dynamic poses, the exclusive weapon "Skull Magnum," the Cyclone Memory, and the Skull Memory. The transformation belt "W DRIVER" features an articulated deployment mechanism and can load memory parts. The accessories are not numerous, so playability is average. The articulation of Shinkocchou Seihou is generally good. The joints have appropriate tightness, allowing for single-leg standing without issue. Coupled with the excellent articulated joint design of the main body, cool battle poses can be achieved! QC, coloring, and paint application are very good (a rare occurrence). Of course, its biggest selling point is its perfect appearance.
Shinkocchou Seihou is indeed impeccable in terms of appearance! It is definitely a great product. I absolutely love it! Another D.M.S. 2025 Top Ten Best Buy product!
