SEGA Prize, a brand under Japan's SEGA Games Co., Ltd., will release a new product in its "Premium Chokonose" sitting figure series featuring the classic anime Ranma ½ – the "Ranma" sitting figure. It is scheduled to be released as a prize item on August 22, 2025!
Ranma ½ is a manga series by artist Rumiko Takahashi, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1987 to 1996. It was adapted into a TV anime by STUDIO DEEN in 1989, and again animated by MAPPA in 2024. The story revolves around the hilarious and chaotic daily life of Saotome Ranma, a young man who falls into a cursed spring during training, turning into a girl when splashed with cold water and reverting to a boy with hot water, and his fiancée Akane Tendo, as they face various romantic entanglements and martial arts challenges.
This Ranma sitting figure stands approximately 8 cm tall, featuring a lively sitting pose with her hand in a salute and legs crossed. It meticulously sculpts her slender body curves in her female form, with delicate details even on her toes. The wrinkles and styling of her martial arts uniform are faithfully recreated, and her iconic peach-pink hair color is reproduced with paint. She can be displayed alongside the simultaneously released Shampoo, showcasing the charm of the beautiful girls penned by Rumiko Takahashi-sensei!
