Hong Kong toy brand threezero, to commemorate its 25th anniversary, announced the latest limited-edition product from the anime《裝甲騎兵》(Armored Trooper Votoms), the "ROBO-DOU Scope Dog Heavy Weathering Version", scheduled for release in September 2025. This product is a limited edition with only 900 sets produced worldwide.
The official main AT "ATM-09-ST Scope Dog", developed by the Gilgamesh Army, was the most mass-produced unit during the Hundred Years' War. In the series, it was not only the AT model protagonist Chirico Cuvie was most skilled at piloting, but its extremely high versatility also led to its modification into various derivative specifications, utilized across different units. This model's head is equipped with a triple rotating lens that can switch between standard, sniper, and wide-angle modes, transmitting raw visual information to the pilot's helmet. In addition to its retractable "armored fist" on the arm and leg rollers for high-speed movement, the unit can also carry various live ammunition weapons via handheld, backpack, and limb hardpoints.
The "ROBO-DOU Scope Dog Heavy Weathering Version" is based on a modified version of the previously released standard edition. Renowned Japanese modeler NAOKI was invited to reinterpret the weathering paintwork, giving it a more intense battle-damaged appearance and thick grime from years of acid rain corrosion than the standard version, further enhancing the model's realism. Additionally, multiple areas such as the chest, left foot armor, and right ankle armor feature different fuselage marking designs compared to the standard version.
Other specifications and accessories remain the same as the standard version, utilizing composite material parts such as ABS, PVC, POM, and alloy to reproduce details close to the in-series settings, including exquisitely sculpted heat vents, maintenance hatches, rivets, and fuel tanks. Standing approximately 14.6 cm tall, it boasts 76 points of articulation. The movable frame is primarily constructed from alloy, and it features a retractable "armored fist" mechanism with a shell ejection effect, as well as deployable leg rollers and turning assist spikes, allowing for the recreation of cool battle poses from the series.
Furthermore, the main body incorporates numerous movable mechanisms to enhance playability, including a deployable head cover, a triple rotating lens that can rotate to reproduce various modes, and openable chest cockpit hatch and abdominal maintenance hatch. A richly detailed cockpit control system is also crafted, allowing the mini-figure of protagonist Chirico Cuvie to be placed inside to recreate the piloting state. Armaments include the "GAT-22 Heavy Machine Gun" and three sets of magazine parts that can be attached to the gun or the side skirt armor.
