Gal Gadot, set to portray the Evil Queen in Disney's live-action "Snow White," recently claimed in an interview with Israeli media that the film's box office struggles would be entirely attributable to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. Gadot suggested that audiences were boycotting the movie due to dissatisfaction with her Israeli heritage and her outspoken support for her home country, further alleging that the entertainment industry was "pressured" to voice opposition against Israel. However, shortly after the interview surfaced, Gadot promptly issued a follow-up statement to clarify her initial remarks.

Following the original interview's publication, Gadot promptly took to her Instagram Stories to offer a clarification. She wrote: "I am honored to have participated in a wonderful interview, where interviewers asked probing questions. Sometimes, we respond emotionally. When this movie comes out, I felt that anti-Israel individuals were specifically targeting me with criticism, primarily seeing me as an Israeli rather than an actress. That was the perspective from which I answered the question. Of course, the film's potential failure isn't solely due to external pressure. A movie's success or failure hinges on numerous factors, and success is never guaranteed."
